Didn’t get off to the best start on Day One (just a little over 600 words) but I kept telling myself: “I started.” That’s what matters right? To begin. To commence.
I mixed it up a little and played with free-writing on Day One instead of choosing a specific moment on the timeline to sketch.
Pretty surprised at what came out of my brain when it wasn’t being patrolled. Not sure how much of it will be useful but it worked out as far as opening my mind up. The image above was one section I liked.
I haven’t updated my word count since Day One but I’m spending all afternoon at home to try and put in a little extra time.

Let me know what you’re writing/reading. I’ve missed logging on and chatting with everybody. It’s been a beautiful week of perfect-fall weather here in Mid-Mo. The leaves have exploded with gold and crimson and the clouds are like watercolor paintings. It’s insane. Such a pretty home.
