March :: Wrap Up

Total Read : 10

Favorite Character : A tie between Hector from The Iliad and Stoker from Raybourn’s Veronica Speedwell Series (A Curious Beginning, A Perilous Undertaking, and A Treacherous Curse)

Favorite Quote :

“Men, I had often observed, were never happier than when they believed they were imparting wisdom.”
― Deanna Raybourn, A Perilous Undertaking

(I also knocked out Lord of the Flies by William Golding but forgot to take a picture of it. Oops.)**

Overall, super fun month and LOVED being introduced to Gail Carriger via recommendation. The rest of her Alexia Tarabotti novels are now in my shopping cart! Ilona Andrews (a married couple who writes as one author – how cool!) didn’t disappoint with The Innkeeper Chronicles either. Felt good to barrel through a few classics as well – the reread of The Iliad was soooooo good. Let downs of the month = The Highwayman of Tanglewood and Lord of the Flies. Eesh.

Onward to April – my favorite month of the year!

  1. So glad you liked Soulless!!! Omg I’ve been wanting to read the Veronica Speedwell series for so long, and it’s entirely because of the authors name aha. I’m assuming if you read more than one you enjoyed them????
